Baby’s doing good…I’m very anxious to see him!

I found this today about how to not work a gazillion hours but still do well, and it seemed helpful:

Usually I write blog posts when something really interesting happens, however this one is a report of “everything is pretty normal”. Our son is growing nicely. He is nice and active, so I get to feel him move pretty often. We are having a challenging time with names, but we have a list of 6 or 8, and we have a #1, and a #2. FYI the name will pretty much be a secret until he is born, since we may change it after he is born, and we kinda want it to be a surprise to people.

I bought a new (to me) car in October, and intended to sell our Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I now want to get rid of both. The car I bought was a BMW with a nice big V8. It’s really fun, but it has needed a lot of maintenance/repair since I bought it, and I don’t want that habit to continue after we have a baby. We will probably end up selling it and the Jeep, getting a minivan for Natalie to drive, and I will drive our Saab. Too much car activity for me. I will be glad when it’s done.

I finished up the trim in the house over Christmas break (I took a week off), so that is a huge relief. It was a ton of work, but the house looks much nicer with trim! Now I am working on random items that need to be taken care of before the baby comes.

Work is going pretty well. I am currently training a guy who will take a bunch of load off of what I do, so I am excited about that. He is going to work in the evenings, and be on call most days, so my after-hours load will go way down. He will also be doing a bunch of the engineering work that I’m doing now, so I will be much less overloaded.

I feel like God has been very gracious with me. Natalie and I have been very blessed by our sons health and just life in general. We are very excited about this time of life, and look forward to seeing our little bundle of joy/responsibility.

Here are some pictures of him at 18 weeks and 5 days. The first one is a profile of the head and upper body, the next is a hand, the 3rd is a (strong looking) leg, and the last is a cute little foot.
